Women’s Support Worker, Follow Me –
a support service for people having suffered domestic abuse.
Funded by The Nationwide Foundation for 3 years
Full-Time: 35 hours p/w
Salary: £22,000
Follow Me is an exciting joint initiative for those who have experienced domestic abuse, who are living in temporary accommodation and plan to move on.
Follow Me will provide a dedicated support service to facilitate this transition, easing the trauma and increasing the likelihood of a successful outcome. We seek to appoint talented, enthusiastic, non judgemental individuals to be part of a strong effective team to develop and deliver this service.

Volunteer Opportunities
to spend time with vulnerable homeless women with a diverse range of support needs in West Pilton. This opportunity is open to female volunteers only. A minimum 4 month commitment is required
our newly funded garden project in West Pilton aims to utilise volunteer, staff and service user skills, knowledge etc to create a vegetable plot and sheltered seating/sensory area within the current rear garden area. The volunteers would form part of a project team to deliver the project and be involved in planning, organising and undertaking activities with staff and service users with the aim of fostering improved self-esteem and self reliance. A minimum 4 month commitment is required.
to work with service users at West Pilton and Leith to plan, develop and deliver a range of activities that encourage interaction with others and positive self esteem within services and in the wider community. Ideally a minimum 4 month commitment is required although potential volunteers with ideas for short term projects will be considered.
to spend time at our Head Office with managers and the Chief Executive to explore and develop marketing, funding and publicity strategies and opportunities. Ideally a minimum 4 month commitment is required although potential volunteers with a willingness to commit to short term pieces of work will be considered e.g. 6 meetings over a fixed period.
